The thickness of this book would be beyond anyone's easy estimation. In this immeasurable volume, a day is just a repeating, very small part of the whole, existing only in the context between the preceding and the following day.

하나의 찢겨진 장의 한 면에는 한 해의 모든 날짜가 포함되어 있고, 해당 페이지 번호는 그 해를 나타낸다. 이 하나의 페이지는 이 페이지가 찢겨져 나온 어떤 책을 상상하게 한다. 이 책의 두께는 그 누구도 쉬이 가늠할 수 없을 것이다. 볼륨을 가늠할 수 없는 이 책에서 하루는 반복되는 전체의 아주 작은 부분에 불과하며, 오로지 전날과 다음 날 사이의 맥락에서만 존재할 뿐이다.
